Update!!!

Well, here is the latest update. We are in the home stretch to meet our little girl! I have an appointment this Friday to see when I will be scheduled for our C-Sect. Since Jaxon was born that way, we are just going to repeat with this pregnancy. It will be a completely different experience knowing exactly when she is coming and having preparation time before the hospital. I am 37 weeks this week and the doctors recommend delivering at 39 weeks. Only two more to go! We have the baby's room painted with a very pretty lilac color and beautiful white crown molding. Great job Jared! Crib...check. Pink clothes...check. Diapers...check. We're just counting down the days!

Jaxon doesn't even know what's coming. It will be very interesting to see how he reacts. He recently has become very attached to sitting and rocking with me. Never before has he wanted to sit on my lap for more than 10 seconds but of course now that has changed. I've been waiting for these little moments of love, now I'm going to have to share! I'm nervous. We are working very diligently on walking. He is trying hard and doing very well...but we are still waiting for the day he takes off independently. 6 teeth have appeared which have caused the little man quite a bit of hassle and A LOT of drool. He still isn't using many words but every once and a while will copy us when he feels like it. Mama, Dada, Yuck and a few others that he has made up along the way. Shakes his head "no" waves bye although we seemed to have moved on to other things, gives you 5, and gives all baby pictures and stuffed animals kisses which is very sweet.

Jaxon's first birthday was Sunday, August 9th. We had a just a few people over to celebrate. Grammie Robin was able to come from Montana which was great! We miss her but are excited to get her back in a couple weeks with Papa! Grandma Jo, Jenny, Danny, Carolyn and fam were also there for the big day. Jaxon had fun I think. I had such a great time watching him tear through his birthday cake. He makes me smile and is the absolute joy of my life! Thanks goes out to everyone in Montana that sent their love and birthday wishes/gifts to Jaxon! We all miss you. Special thanks to everyone that was able to make our day complete by coming to celebrate with us.

So, I will leave with a video of Sunday... it's kinda long just to warn you. Mostly for the family to enjoy!

Our Sedona Get-Away!

This last Sunday was our anniversary so Jared and I wanted to plan a little vaca instead of exchanging gifts. Its something we are going to strive for every year. We chose Sedona, Arizona this year and it was absolutely breathtaking.  Neither Jared or I have been to Sedona.  We took Jaxon so we wanted somewhere relatively close. Sedona was perfect.  We had an amazing time, windy weather and all.  Our hotel was beautiful, words can't describe dinner on Sunday, and the scenery was absolutely inspiring. We will definitely be making a trip back in the near future.

Jaxon update:  He is nearly 8 months old and is well on his way to crawling.  He is up on his knees rocking back and forth, frustrated because he can't figure out how to get anywhere. The last few days he has really been experimenting with talking. All of this repeated face time seems to be paying off! There is plenty of mamamamama's and dadadadada's coming out of his cute little lips. Whether is meaningful or not, it warms our hearts.

The new addition will be 16 weeks on Thursday.  I have to say it's going by much faster this time... We are super excited to be decorating and shopping for a GIRL! We are very indecisive on names at this point. I have my favorites, but Jared is yet to agree on any. I will keep you posted on decision making!

Blogger Locked Me Out!

It's been forever and a day since I've updated our blog but for some reason I just couldn't sign in! Now that I'm back there is a lot to catch up on! Jaxon will be 5 months old on January 9th,   coincidently, Grandma Jo's birthday! Jaxon is getting bigger and smarter by the day. He's been doing really well eating his solid foods and just loves to be entertained all day long.

Jaxon's first Thanksgiving was awesome. Grammy and Papa visited from Montana and Grandma Jo was here too! So glad to have family here with us for the holiday. We spent most of the time inside since it was cold and rainy outside. Jared and I gave lessons in Guitar Hero..

Our Family Christmas Photos!

Christmas was amazing this year. Leading up to the big day, we had a couple snow storms that just made everything look like Christmas. The mountains up by our house were covered with snow and we even had quite a bit pile up on the ground.

Christmas Eve was my favorite. We had our bestest friends over for some dinner and board games. We are so lucky to have great friends in our lives ;)

Santa came on Christmas day... Good thing Jaxon got to ask him what he wanted.

We had a really great Christmas this year as a Family. I enjoyed every minute of it. Jaxon mostly ate paper, but I think he had some fun and excitement.

And finally, 2008 comes to and end.  Jaxon and I rang in the new year with our heads on our pillows fast asleep in bed. Jared was keeping the peace on Las Vegas Blvd on New Years Eve. We missed him, but were glad to be safe and warm tucked in bed. Grandma Jo came over with some party favors and we played a little Mario Cart on Wii.
