Jared and I met March of 2007 and have been inseparable ever since. It's been quite a whirlwind of a relationship, but we wouldn't have it any other way! We were enamored with each other and spent every second we could together. October 07 Jared bravely and romantically proposed in front of a restaurant full of people and I of course accepted! It was the first time in my life I'd ever been so sure about anything. Soon after the engagement, we were blessed with a little surprise that we like to call "The Bean". We found out early December that we were pregnant and were thrilled at the news. March 22, 2008 we were married in Hawaii with our family and friends support. That brings us to today... we're anxiously awaiting our little bundle of joy that is due August 10, 2008~ Jaxon William Wicks
We took a little road trip to the Valley of Fire last Thursday. It was a beautiful but HOT day. Jared got to take some awesome pictures and Jaxon and I enjoyed the air conditioner in the car!
Since Jared has taken an interest in photography he has created a website with some of his work. If you are at all interested in a website to show off pictures/photography this one is great! Wicksphotog.shutterfly.com You can view prints and order prints for yourself right off of the site.
Jaxon was awake and happy today so we jumped on the opportunity to grab some time with him in front of the camera. He's really getting the hang of this!
Yesterday was our first Sunday Funday of the football season. We, as a family, dressed up in our best Colts gear and headed to a friend's house for some good ol' football, food and board games. We love our Sunday Funday friends.
Today we said fair well to Grandma Jo. She made her way back to Ohio this morning after a sad goodbye. The pot of coffee ready to go every morning, the smell of a homemade meal every evening and all the extra help will be missed very much! Thanks, mom, for all you've done not only in the last three weeks, but for all you do on a regular basis. We are all very thankful. Love You!
Jared and I have been so excited to take Jaxon for walks at the park but it's been way to hot out here for any of that nonsense! We had a break from the heat the other day and decided to venture out to the park at Mountain's Edge. It turned out to be a beautiful evening. Jared got some practice with our new camera and it seems as if all his studying has paid off! He took some really great pictures and assures me that they will only get better. Move over JC Penny... there's a new photog in town.
