It has been too long!

It's been a crazy couple of weeks for this little family here! We've been scrambling to move into our new house and get everything unpacked and settled. Thanks to Jared, we have all of our ducks in a row and are very very excited to finally be here. We absolutely loooove our house. It's perfect and already feels like home.
Grandma Jo finally made her way out as well. She moved from 2000 miles away to be less than a mile away from us. It's great. Jared and I had our first date night last night. It was nice to be out, but even nicer to be back home with our little pumpkin. Speaking of the little one... He is celebrating his 3rd month birthday today. Time is really going by so fast. Jaxon really is the sweetest most precious gift ever. After a severely stressful day at work on Thursday, he decided to warm our hearts by laughing out loud for the first time. It was too cute. His neck and under his arms seem to be ticklish.

Well, I'll keep this short and hopefully bet back with another update sooner than later. Take care!

THE Montana Roadtrip

A couple of weeks ago the Wicks' took a loooong road trip across 4 states to beautiful Montana. We were pretty excited to see all of the beautiful fall leaves since Vegas doesn't get to experience the changing seasons. Jaxon was a trooper. He sat contently in his car seat for the 15 hour ride there and back. We of course had several stops on the way for stretching and eating.

Grandma Jo Goes Home
Today we said fair well to Grandma Jo. She made her way back to Ohio this morning after a sad goodbye. The pot of coffee ready to go every morning, the smell of a homemade meal every evening and all the extra help will be missed very much! Thanks, mom, for all you've done not only in the last three weeks, but for all you do on a regular basis. We are all very thankful. Love You!
Park Day

Jared and I have been so excited to take Jaxon for walks at the park but it's been way to hot out here for any of that nonsense! We had a break from the heat the other day and decided to venture out to the park at Mountain's Edge. It turned out to be a beautiful evening. Jared got some practice with our new camera and it seems as if all his studying has paid off! He took some really great pictures and assures me that they will only get better. Move over JC Penny... there's a new photog in town.

Doing Great Update!
Yesterday, Jaxon had his first actual submerged bath. He seemed to love it. There were no whimpers or tears... just a few cute pictures!
Gramdma Jo is still here visiting from Ohio. She has been such a great help. Jared and I have had a homemade cooked dinner every night thanks to her! It has been such a blessing to have her here. Now, we just have to get her out here for good!
We miss you all and send our hugs and kisses your way! Hope everyone is doing well.

Our New Obsession!
Grandma Jo recently purchased Jared and I an amazing camera to capture all the precious little moments of Jaxon. Now we can share the fun with all of you. Here are just a few to get you all started. We will be getting better and better with practice and there is no better subject that I can think of to practice on!

He's Here!
He was delivered via C-Sect weighing a healthy 7lbs 14oz. He was 19 inches long and excited to see his new world. Jaxon was welcomed by Great Grammy, Grammy and Pappa Wicks. It was the happiest day of Jared's and my life. Thank you all for your love and support. It was great to have you by our side.
We got to go home from the hospital on Monday night. We were so excited for our first car ride and to let Jaxon get accustomed to his new surroundings. We've been settling in and learning about each other ever since.
.
Grandma Jo arrived on Tuesday night to meet her first grandson. She and Grammy Wicks have been a huge help for Jared and me. A great big thanks goes out to the both of you!
We wish we lived a little closer to share our bundle of love and joy with you all. For now, we will keep you posted with lots of pictures and stories!
